Success Primary School is an independent school located in the City of Cockburn. We are a level 5 primary school and are inclusive of students enrolled in both mainstream and education support learning environments. Approximately 20% of children come from homes where English is an Additional Language (EAL/D).
We embrace our school motto ‘Unlock Your Potential,’ ensuring parents and the school community actively work towards achieving improved outcomes for all students. Our mission is to nurture, educate and celebrate each student as we guide them to become a successful, responsible and caring contributor in our changing world.
The school places emphasis and effort into raising standards in all learning areas with priority focus set in Literacy, Numeracy and Science. For our students with a disability the curriculum provides opportunities for students to develop functional life skills which link to a range of programs and embraces individual learning programs with set goals.
Success Primary School boasts state-of-the-art facilities for our students, including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory room and gymnasium as well as up to date interactive technology in all classrooms. The education support classes are distributed across the school, providing inclusive opportunities for students and staff at all year levels.
At Success Primary School, we foster a model of distributed leadership where staff are provided with ample opportunity to lead best practice in the Western Australian Curriculum, participate in peer coaching and aspire to future leadership opportunities in and beyond the classroom.
Parents and community members play an active role in ensuring students are provided with the best possible learning opportunities. The achievements and progress of our school are strongly supported by our active P&C and School Board. Success Primary School enjoys interacting with the broader school community and has formed strong partnerships with outside service agencies. In addition, the staff have established strong links with the Cockburn Central Education Network (CCEN) and the Education Support South Network (ESSN) and have formed strong collegiate curriculum groups to support the professional development of all staff and improve learning outcomes for our students.
In 2018 Success Primary School will proudly celebrate 10 years of providing inclusive education to both education support and mainstream students.
